Dear Fellow Industry Professional,

Valley Builders Exchange, Inc., a Non-Profit Corporation established in 1947, is set up to provide services to our membership. Our association is comprised of dues paying members in all fields of construction. Membership in the Exchange provides you with various services and information that may be difficult to obtain on an individual basis.

Among the services we offer is a weekly e-bulletin containing information on projects out for bid in several counties. This information includes bid date and time, project location, issuing office, prime bidders requesting sub-bids and bid results of previously advertised projects. Also included in the bulletin is a Safety Tips page with a different topic each week to help with your tailgate safety meetings, legal notices such as Mechanics Liens filed and released, Notices of Completion and building permits for the City of Modesto and Stanislaus County. Most of the above information is available on our website. A recent addition is our Daily Update which informs you of projects bidding that day and the bidder information if available, addenda and new project listings received the previous day. We also have a great service, Plans Online, where you can access the project documents online at any time.

Other benefits of Exchange membership includes blue print copy services, seminars, membership lists, amusement parks discount cards, advertising opportunities, networking events which include a scholarship fund golf tournament and a very popular crab feed. A nominal fee required for some of these services. VBE social events include an annual membership appreciation BBQ. Children of member firms or member firm employees are eligible to apply for the VBE scholarship program.

To join, simply complete and return the application form and a check for the appropriate amount. The entrance fee is $200.00 and semi-annual dues are $230.00 or annual dues are $450.00, payable in advance. Thereafter, you will be billed on a semi-annual or annual basis as you prefer, and will continue until we hear otherwise from you.

Upon receipt of your check and application form, you will be put on our mailing list and you may begin to use our services on a temporary basis until Board approval. If for any reason the Board of Directors denies your application, your money will be fully refunded. If your application is accepted, your company name will appear in the bulletin welcoming you and introducing you to the membership. Later, you will receive a packet which will include your membership certificate.
